Accurate, affordable blood glucose meter

As someone who relies upon this medical device in order to manage my diabetes, I need it to be accurate. If you do your research, reveal the terrifyingly insufficient FDA standards, and look for companies' clinical data, you'll find that WaveSense meters are the most accurate out there, and many have written about it:

@Debra, perhaps instead of comparing this meter to your three (inaccurate) meters, you should take the meter to your endocrinologist and test your blood at the same time as they draw it for lab work. Comparing the meter result to a lab standard (accurate) will show how accurate it is; my Presto meter has been consistently more accurate than ALL of my other meters, and they make all of their clinical data public and available online--something that I've had a very hard time finding from other manufacturers.
You can find their clinical accuracy data here: http://www.wavesense.info/data

Pros
Small form factor
* Affordable
* Solid feature set
* ACCURATE
* Doesn't use GDH-PQQ
Cons
I second JenJen. You can't beat this meter, especially at its price point.
Recommendation
I recommend this blood glucose meter to anyone looking for an accurate, affordable solution to their blood glucose managing efforts.
Good experience thus far - three months and counting...

Thus far seems on par with my Ultra meters in terms of accuracy, which I find are pretty close to the lab(within a few points) and thus the reason why I've used One Touch meters for the last fifteen years. Not every meter is going to be accurate for everyone, which is something people like to argue about. There is no one ultimate meter, I'm not for one particular brand over the other, I use what works for me.

Pros
Decent meter at a fair price. Strips are half the cost of the Ultra strips. Has the features that truly count.
Cons
So far haven't found any yet, but I am used to having to scrape by, so the control solution thing is not an issue for me, nor do I have any quams about ordering online if need be.
Recommendation
I certainly recommend this product, especially if a person is self-pay on all supplies.
HAD I OFF KNOW THAT IT WOULD BE THIS DIFFICULT TO PURCHASE THE CONTROL SOLUTION BELIEVE I WOULDN'T OF PURCHASED THE MACHINE. WALMART COULDN'T GET IT FOR ME AND THE MANUFACTURES WEBSITE SUGGESTED RITE AIDE AND I CALLED ABOUT 5 OF THEM AND NOBODY STOCKS IT. NOT WHAT I WANT TO DO, ORDER ON LINE. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO WALK IN AND WALK OUT WITH IT JUST LIKE I DID THE MACHINE. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. AT TIMES LIKE THESE I CAN NOT AFFORD TO TOSS IT SO I'M FORCED TO LOOK FOR THE SOLUTION ONLINE.
User Review
Pros
REASONABLY PRICED
Cons
CAN NOT FIND THE CONTROL SOLUTION AT A LOCAL STORE
Recommendation
DO NOT PURCHASE IT FROM EITHER WALMART OR RITE AIDE, THEY DO NOT STOCK THE CONTROL SOLUTION, BETTER TO PURCHASE IT VIA AN ON-LINE STORE, IF YOU MUST.
